Aim of the Euroschool

The European School in Materials Science is one of the integrational activities of the EU Network of Excellence "Complex Metallic Alloys" within the 6th Framework Program Priority 3 NANOSCIENCES - MATERIALS - PROCESSES (NMP3-CT-2005-500140, Contract Number 500140). It is organized on annual basis for the duration of the program (2005 - 2010). More info about the CMA Network of Excellence is available at http://www.cma-ecnoe.org.

The aim of the Euroschool is to provide a lecture-style background to students and graduate students in the field of materials, in particular the physics of metals and metallurgy. The Euroschool is intended to compensate for the declining lecturing activities in metals sciences. The approach is an integral one. The topics range from basic atomistic physics to industrial processing. Lecturers have been invited from academia, research and industry.

The Euroschool will provide tutorial and advanced lectures of the school-type and will contain one poster session.
